La Isla Bonita

Our Expedition: Humanitarian trip to Cuba was a powerful blend of cultural connection, service, and reflection. From delivering donations to a dance school, animal shelter, and convent, to exploring the vibrant streets of Havana, the peaceful farms of Viñales, and the stunning shores of Varadero Beach, every moment was filled with purpose and discovery. We built meaningful relationships, experienced the heart of Cuban life, and were reminded of the impact small acts of kindness can have. This journey wasn't just about travel—it was about community, compassion, and carrying those lessons with us long after we returned home.

Donation Opportunities

We had the opportunity to deliver donations to a few amazing places that left a lasting impact on us. We brought much-needed supplies to a local dance school, where young performers are keeping Cuba's vibrant cultural traditions alive despite limited resources. We also visited a dog and cat shelter, supporting their efforts to care for stray animals in the community. One of our most touching stops was a convent, where we donated essentials to the sisters who selflessly serve those in need every day. Each visit reminded us of the power of small acts of kindness and the incredible work being done quietly behind the scenes. All-in-all we brought over 350 pounds of donations!

Varadero Beach

Varadero Beach was the perfect breath of fresh air during our trip—a place where we could relax, reflect, and soak in Cuba's natural beauty. The crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and peaceful vibe felt like something out of a dream. Whether we were swimming, walking along the shore, or just sitting and taking it all in, Varadero gave us a moment to slow down and appreciate the simplicity and serenity of the island. It was a much-needed pause that added balance to our journey and reminded us how healing the ocean can be.

Viñales

Visiting Viñales felt like stepping into another world—peaceful, lush, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The rolling green hills, tobacco farms, and limestone mogotes created a landscape unlike anywhere else we'd seen in Cuba. We had the chance to connect with local farmers, learn about traditional cigar-making, and explore the valley by horseback, which gave us a deeper appreciation for rural Cuban life. Viñales offered a slower pace and a strong sense of community, making it one of the most grounding and memorable parts of our trip.
